Does the car have a timing belt or a chain belt? Replace at what mileage?

I believe its a timming chain which is probly recomended to be changed @ 60,000. You can also refer to your owners manual for service intervals.

a BELT would need to be replaced at that mi. but a CHAIN should last the life of car is that not right?

It has a timing chain that will last the life time of the SUV. There is no recommendation for changing the timing chain.

Timing belt and water pumps are recommended to be replaced between 70- 100,000 miles. Timing chains are not.

Timing chains are recommend to be checked by Honda every 70k. They go in make sure that the chain has not stretched or lost any parts. They also recommend that the valves should be inspected and adjusted if needed
