I have a 2001 Ford Escape emitting white smoke out exhaust why?

It was over heating thought it was
the thermostat replaced it  bought
the block tester from autozone and it
didn't turn yellow so didn't think it's
a head gasket topped off radiator
fluid and oil. Yes I know which is
which. Closed up started her up and
after two three minutes white smoke
started to pour  out of the tail pipe

That is a bad head gasket. Check your engine oil as well to make sure water is not in the oil.

When you have a blown head gasket sometimes coolant just goes out the tail pipe. There may or may not be any coolant in the oil or any oil in the coolant. Heavy thick sweet smelling white smoke is almost always a head gasket, cracked head or cracked cylinder block. On some engines the intake manifold can leak coolant into the engine causing the same symptoms. Running a compression test may help you find the problem.
