Starting 2015 Challenger RT Plus

Asked by Guru17R67 May 21, 2020 at 12:45 PM about the 2015 Dodge Challenger R/T Plus RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Sometimes, usually when cold, the brake won't press down to engage start
button.  Fortunately, remote start works in that case.  This car is virtually brand
new, less than 5k miles.  Also happened on my 2015 Challenger SXT PLUS
which I traded in.  Everyone just scratches their head. Ideas?

sounds like brake booster is overloaded with pressure and can't get air out so you can depress brake completely.

Unfortunately, without replicating the problem, it can't be diagnosed. Brake booster checked out, fluid new & ok, and no codes. Oh well.
