Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2002 ford ranger has been sitting for a couple years. It ran well, except it
needed transmission work. What should I do before charging the battery and
attempting to restart the truck?

drain out as much fuel you can and put in fresh, change the oil and filter.would be the bare minimum. you could go as far as doing all filters, drain and fill coolant, spark plugs,wires,ect... just depends on what you plan to do with it.
