Car just died while driving to work

Asked by Rhonda02 Oct 25, 2016 at 09:57 AM about the 2015 Chevrolet Malibu LS FWD

Question type: General

I have a 2015 Chevy Malibu. Car has been running fine
with no problems. Just changed oil yesterday and filled
car up with gas. This morning as I was heading to work I
made it maybe 2 miles from my house and it started to
shake a little and then just shut off. The radio and lights
still work and I tried to start it again in which it started but
shut off again. Could it be the fuel pump or bad gas?
Should I try a gas treatment before having it towed to an
expensive dealership for repairs. Please help

It wasn't the service engine light that came on it was a light with a wrench. But thank you for your help

We had this happen 3 times. Had it towed then it was fine.. so frustrating . They’d hook it up and find nothing wrong. So we left it at service for almost a week and it finally happened and they claimed it was the actual fuse ‘box’ that was faulty. They replaced it and it’s been fine last 3 years.
