i just got a 2002 ford mustang at a hell of a deal just needs some work.
picked it up as a project car to tinker on. its a v6 3.8l 5 speed  and i noticed
that while car is in gear it has a clicking noise that occurs while driving or in
nuetral. but when i push in the clutch the noise is gone and when i apply
throttle while the clutch is pushed there is no clicking noise. so im rulling out
head related knocking. but am looking for a road to travel down. im thinking it
might have something to do with trans but it doesnt seem to slip or have
problems shifting. any help is most appreciated.

Possible throw out bearing or clutch issue. "Just needs some work" ? LOL.

yeah lol picked up the car for 300$ it was garage kept its entire life no rust interior emaculate. after tune up and fluids change its really feeling good. just the clicking which im suspecting clutch issue as well. if i push the clutch in the tiniest bit it immediately stops the noise. will know more tomorrow. thanks for the response.
