Frozen steering on my 2014 F150 3.5 Eco Boost 4WD.

I am having an issue with the steering on my 2014 F150 3.5 EcoBoost 4WD.
When the temperature drops below freezing my steering will not work ntil the
truck warms up. It is literally frozen. I can move the wheel 2 - 3 inches in either
direction until the truck or ambient temperature heats up enough for the
steering to work. Any ideas?

Thanks for the answer. There is no power steering fluid. The truck has the EPAS so it is all electronic. That is what makes it strange. I had it to the dealer and had no faults or codes on the EPAS. I am planning on replacing the intermediate shaft this weekend but I don't really think it is that. Once it defrosts and frees up there are no issues. It only happens when below freezing and truck sits for a few hours.

Cold plays hell with electrical things. You could replace parts or try to keep it in a garage.

Cold does play hell with electric motors, which may be part of your epas system. On a cold day when the condition is present, try using a hair dryer on the motor to warm it up, then start the car and see if the problem is there.
