reprogrammed after replacing the battery
Normally there is no need to reprogram the computer after a simple battery change. However, there may be updates to the PCM/ECM put out the manufacturer periodically. You should be able to check on the net to see if there were any updates since your vehicle was manufactured. They are not free, unless the car is still under warranty. A reputable garage should be able to do the update at a lower cost.
