1-2-3-4 starting at the passenger side of the engine.

You have coil on plug ignition? i'm not sure I understand your question, you have 4 coils. Looking under the hood, the cylinders are numbered from left to right, 1 2 3 4. The firing order should be 1 3 4 2. If the coil is good, it should work on any cylinder, it's the wire connector that matters. The diagram is for 2.5L engine, note the wire colors for coil in question.
