Starter has blown out twice.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After I started the car my starter, started up and wouldn't stop running. Had I known as I know now that it would burn out my start, I would had cut the car off immediately. Now after replacing the starter with a new one a couple days the same thing happened and a brand new starter burned. I removed the new burned starter and replaced it again. Now this morning it tried to do the same thing after starting it up but I cut it off in time did it four times but caught it in time. Any ideas anyone?
