idle issues? How long since a tune up? Fuel pressure and all that is good?

I am having the same issue. No check engine light, no codes. I believe it has something to do with electrical connections. Mine will some times hit gears hard. Stall at stop signs, also in reverse will stall. Not all the time. Does not seem to be fuel related, is not mechanical transmission issue. I'm going to start at the trans, unplug all the wires and check and clean connections. If yours is consistent I would be looking to replace idle air bypass.... ford might call it something different.... but that valve could be occasionally sticking from carbon build up
