How much will it take too put a 5.3 out of a 2000 Tahoe in my 1985 grand Prix

If you had a donor vehicle with trans and ECU etc, I am guessing it could be done for 3 to $4,000 plus some misc parts if you can find a mechanic that wants to take on an engine swap.

I bought the whole truck can I just use everything out of it

Not everything but you would need the engine, ECU and wiring harness at a minimum. Not sure if the newer engine will work with your old transmission. Unless you have sentimental attachment to the Grand Prix I hardly think it is worth the cost and headaches but good luck!

Maybe some of the other posters on this site will chime in with their ideas.
