I own a 1989 ford ranger 2.9 4x4 and I want to put a 302 in it. I don't know what to do for a transmission, should I leave that one in it or find a new one?

Question type: Car Customization

I was told that you can't leave my
transmission in it because its to week. I
was told to get a c-4 which I have no idea
where do get one or what kind of truck to
get it out of.

I have a 5.0 motor just can't find the right transmission, I went to a junk yard a found a 94-96 6 cylinder 5 speed transmission and was hoping that would work, or if I had to find an adapter plate
