Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've changed complete distributor w/module,HP Fuel pump, fuel pump
relay, checked pressure, fuel regulator, coil, plugs, plug wires, EEC
control relay. I've checked for ground at the #6 wire on Ignition control
unit that is on the distributor, same with power at the # 4 wire. I'm
getting spark and fuel, as I can smell it at throttle body strong.
Sprayed either in throttle body to make sure and got back fire. Is the
PIP crank position sensor whacking out and changing timing around
after it gets hot? I'm a pretty experienced Mechanic,(not schooled)
but have built some pretty stout motors in my time(50yrs) but this has
me stumped. Bad EECIV ?

Thanks so much! My thoughts also as I can't seem to find one for it online. How did you bypass?

No the computer itself is bypassing that means its bad when on this model after changing everything you've changed if your vehicle is getting fire and gas it should run no problem
