manual fuel pumps go bad also...it needs to be replaced....Check for leaks in the gas line first
If you are not getting gas to the pump, the problem is not in the pump. At any rate a mechanical pump is not difficult to change or expensive.
I have a 76 f150 that was running great, I was driving it home and it ran out of gas suddenly, both tanks have fuel but there is no fuel to the carb. would a fuel pump just up and die with no warning ...
