sounds like a mechanical or wobbly noise when the AC is on. more
pronounced as I accelerate. No noise when the AC is off. Could this be an AC
compressor problem or a problem with a belt?

That is why I'm asking. Can you diagnose that it's the AC compressor and needs replacing just by the set of facts that I presented?
