Cadillac batteries don't last as long as others like Toyota or Honda. This battery won't last 100,000 miles.

The battery has a life of 6 to 10 years, or 100,000 miles. The price of the battery is @ $9,000 with labor cost of @ $400.

And as I just learned, Cadillac has put code in place that starts to soft pedal battery usage. Seems to appear around 75000 actual miles. The gas engine will start engaging when the SOC of the high voltage battery drops to 45% even when there is nothing wrong with battery. So much as a truly love the car this really puts a damper as the only solution according to the dealership is to replace the battery.
