Transmission Flush on Factory Sealed Jeep

Asked by Kelsey Jul 01, 2019 at 11:52 AM about the 2014 Jeep Patriot Sport 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My dad owns a Grease Monkey and brought in my jeep for an oil change...
one of his employees said I need a transmission flush. He said he can't do it
at GM because my car is factory sealed.. when reaching out to a Jeep
Dealership, no one knew whether they could do it or if I had to go into the
dealership where I bought my car (which I don't live near) so I'm curious if
anyone has any recommendations on what to do.

If you have the CVT you should have the dealer change the fluid. I do not recommend a flush. Change the fluid if it is an automatic but no flush. The flush is just a way to pad your bill.
