Jeep Patriot 2011 Factory Radio Cutting Out

Asked by JeepPatriot2011 Aug 31, 2016 at 12:06 PM about the 2011 Jeep Patriot North Edition 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just bought my Jeep Patriot almost a year ago and
5 months ago my radio started to cut out, the
display would go out as well. The only thing that
would seem to keep it playing music (radio or aux)
would be if my air conditioning was blasted. Every
time i would try and play music for 30 s or even 5
min my whole audio system would cut off making a
popping sound and the display would start to go
out whenever the music cut off. Is it a loose wire?
Amps? Or new radio entirely?
