my car is in limp mode. what should i do?

mechanic checked car told me it showed a code 62, checked vic motor and removed to find
plastic worm gear behind from plenum to be worn. was told i needed to replace plenum and
possibly vic motor. does this sound correct? i have researched and have heard alot of
different views on what may cause limp mode but this was not one of them.

limp home mode is normaly associated with the fuel supply and to protect the engine you will need to take it to a dealership as they have a comprehensive fault code reader and software they will be able to tell you in detail what is causing the problem
