I recently changed my cabin air filter in my 2013 Mazdaspeed 3 which somehow caused my blower motor to stop working completely?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Decided to change my cabin air filters the other day.  So I went under my dash and
located the cabin filters which were very easy to get to.  Unscrewed the piece
consisting of the blower resistor which I unplugged and set aside while replacing the
filters.  Once I plugged the resistor back in and screwed it back on then when I start
my car my air had stopped blowing completely and was not blowing heat or AC, but
could still feel the cold and hear the AC working.  Since I only fooled with the resistor
while replacing the filters thats really the only thing I feel could be wrong but i'm lost
and have no idea.  Any ideas???

Recheck resistor plug in its either not plugged in all the way or one of the prongs is bent not making connection.

Do you have a test light to make sure if there is or is not any power going to blower motor because if you have power going to motor the resistor needs to be replaced.

I do not have a test light. Would Autozone or O'reillys have one they could check with?

Well I couldn't get my hands on a test light but I did use a multi-meter on the resistor prongs. First prong with the positive and the second prong with the negative was the only readings I got which were between 4-6 ohms or whatever its called. First and third had no readings along with any other prong combos. Anything we could gather from this info?
