what could it be?

new alternator,new battery,belt is tight, shows 14.2 volts going to the battery
but the car will run until it drains the battery then die. It seem like it is just
running off the battery. Only last a day and not even that if you use the
headlights.When I put the charger on it shows less then 25%. TLG

Was this voltage checked at the battery when the vehicle is running? 14.2 DCV is good voltage at the battery when the vehicle is running.

you may have a short draining the batt . search "parasitic drain"

voltage was at the battery with car running. the charge seem to be going out of the battery faster then it is going in

Ok, Just because it is a new battery, I would have it tested, it's not unheard of that it could be bad. Otherwise the charging system is working, so then it's to figure out what is draining the battery down if the battery is good.
