When I start my car in the dashboard it show ice
possible drive careful and on my radio the degree
shows a -40 and stay in Augusta Georgia it don't
get that cold her but the my Air conditioning
system want work it blows out got air then one day
my husband took the positive battery cable off and
the next day he put it back on the air worked for  5
days and it did it again.

I noticed the exact same thing, but it seems to be correlated to the undercarriage getting wet. For example, when I've taken the car through the car wash, the -40 comes on and (per the owner's manual), the air conditioner will not cool. The exact same thing happened when I went through a puddle of rain on the expressway. Interestingly enough, I think it takes over 24 hours for the air conditioner to reset. VERY FRUSTRATING. I don't know what's happening but I was hoping someone else had figured this out

It's the ambient temperature sensor mounted in the grill or by the fog light on drivers side
