Why does my truck instantly cut off when I put it in gearr

My truck instantly dies when I put it in gear it idles
fine it park and neutral but once I put it in reverse
order drive it cuts off even if I two foot it I have
replace the iac sensor and it did not help, please
help my only ride for work

Sounds like it could be the Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid. Some are on the side of the transmission and others are inside of the transmission.

Does it feel like it wants to lurch forward as it dies?? if so i agree with the torque converter idea.

I have the same problem but mine dies as soon as i rev mine goes to 500 rpms then goes back to 750 then once i put in gear it dies halfway diwn the street.

When I put it in dear it staul out 1999 dodge durango. I want to know why it shut off while you tell me what causes that thanks.
