Intrepid power steering pump/fluid problem

Asked by GuruBV3C8 Dec 22, 2018 at 03:28 AM about the 1999 Dodge Intrepid FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just replaced a leaky high pressure hose and pump on my 99 intrepid. New
pump whines bad and the fluid froths up and overflows when I turn the wheel to
bleed it. Can I use Aviation hydraulic fluid instead of off the shelf p.s. fluid ? I
live in Alaska and the cold kills the pumps here.

Try using Lucas Power Steering Stop Leak it not only stops leaks but corrects hard steering and stops whining.
