I slammed the driver door on my 2000 dodge status then it turned off and it won't start back up. What is the problem?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My ding bell for my driver door kept dinging
so I slammed the door shut and it turned off
and won't turn back on. Alllights and
everything else is working.

May have damaged the internal door switch in the door latch assembly, will it work with the passenger door? If it does, then for sure the latch switch is suspect.

Could have also have activated the security system when you slammed the door, and with a damaged door switch the reset procedure won't work. so if you can't get it started then it will have to be towed to a shop you trust or the (UGGH) dealer.
