Is there an instruction video to replace starter solenoid?

Asked by DancingGirl1 Jun 30, 2016 at 05:05 PM about the 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis GS Sedan RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I turn the key, there's a 'clackety clack' sound near the battery. I was told that it's probably the solenoid. There are lights & power & no grinding starter noise. The clacking noise is right next to the battery.

Normally it is lack of power to the starter when you hear that noise, indicates a low battery, or bad cable connections.
