Ticking

Asked by Kayla Nov 02, 2017 at 07:42 AM about the 2013 Hyundai Sonata SE FWD

Question type: General

When I crank my 2013 sonata it has a clicking
noise. Is this from the gas or oil? Also what grade
of gas should I use?

Gas should probably be regular unleaded or E-10 (the cheap stuff). Ticking could be caused by something inside the engine, an exhaust leak, a belt tensioner or something else. Get it checked out. Fuel requirements will be listed in the own'er's manual.
