Oil leak/burn problem.

Asked by Bhk33221 Oct 26, 2014 at 05:42 PM about the 2001 Dodge Stratus ES Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just installed a new (used) 2.7 engine in my car, it runs great, sounds awesome can't
barley hear it running.

Problem is, when i am stopped i can smell the oil burning smell inside the car, and when
accelerating it smokes gray/blue smoke from exhaust, no smoke at the engine bay. When
it's parked and idling no smoke unless i rev up the engine.

Compression is good, no oil in coolant and no coolant in oil, spark plugs are all dry, they
are old and probably no good but they are dry except 2 had very, very minor oil on the
thread only, i am stumped and can't figure this out....

Any suggestions will help, thanks.
