Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2013 Audi A-4 Quattro - 49K miles. Oil level is going down.  It does not seem
leaking. Is it common problem with A-4? What is Audi warranty period and
mileage .  I am second owner.

Hi i have the same car and had the same issue. Apparently the front crank seals are a very common issue in these cars warranty should cover it (but they still charge a 50$ service fee) to figure this out grab a flash light and look down between the rad and the engine. at the bottom you can see a set of double pipes these will likely be coated in fresh oil if its the crank seal also a more easy to spot thing is the fan belt it self will be coated in oil. they had to replace all the housings and seals on the front of my engine when they did it and if they try to tell you its run off from over fills tell them to stuff it and check the front crank seals. Other points of leaking is the turbo. Mine is sucking the oil in threw the pcv and droping it into my turbo which then gets thrown threw my entire intake system .. lovely i know :P this is often caused by a bad seal in on the the turbo parts or the pcv has a bad diofram in that circle part of the pcv housing unit. hopes this helps
