Asked by Debbie Jan 18, 2016 at 12:15 PM about the 2001 Dodge Dakota Sport Quad Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have been having trouble with a leak in my radiator 7 thermostat got stuck, took care of that but now when I go to heat, I have heat but there is also steam that comes out of all vents.  Is it a crack in heating core?

If you can smell coolant in the vehicle with all windows up, then it's probably a sign of a bad heater core.
