Why wont my Durango start?
I replaced the battery, alternator, and the starter and it was running fine. I went
to Wal-Mart and came out and turned the key and nothing happened, but all
of the lights are working and they flash off momentarily when i turn the key but
come back on. I can hear the fuel pump engage when I turn the key also. I
am stumped on what the problem could be
So either a connection came loose on the starter or the new starter is kaput.
I tried to start it again yesterday and the interior lights came on and would not go off; I had to unhook the battery so it would not die. I am wondering if the ignition key got stuck also or is this related to the starter also
Indirectly yes it is, there is a mechanical link to the ignition switch then it becomes electronic from the switch to the starter. So now you have thrown something else into the mix, if the key stuck then there is a high possibility that there is damage to either the tumbler assembly or the ignition switch itself.
