The vehicle won't start
I hear the fuel pump. The starter is trying. It
only kicks on randomly. It can be a few
times in a row or I can go to the store and
get stuck there.
It also keeps killing the battery randomly as well.
Sounds like you have a problem with the starter. Trying to turn the car over with the starter is wearing down your battery. The battery needs to be charged up and the starter checked.
My durango won't start either. It has a brand new battery. It cranks but won't start. Could it be a starter problem?
Rose, it can't be a the starter since it turns over, just not starting. You would have to check for spark, see if there is spark, and if there is then you would have to check for the proper fuel pressure, using a fuel pressure gauge.
I know next to nothing about cars. I have a mechanic coming on Tuesday to check it out
