Using a lot of oil, but not leaking or burning Has a 4.7 Liter engine

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Durango has been using a lot of oil lately, but it is not leaking or burning it.
How can this happen?  Was told it could be the PCV and if so, does this repair
come in a kit with several components or is it just one part, I would like to
replace all the parts necessary to complete this job.  Any help would be
appreciated, I will pass this on to my husband who can do the repairs.

I has the same engine, once it hit 100K miles it started burning oil, I replace the PCV valve, checked all the crankcase vent systems lines, etc. nothing helped, finally tore into it and found the valve guides were badly worn, the valve seals were hard as a rock, and noticed some scouring on the cylinder walls, figured it’s overhaul time. Found a good used engine and put it in then got rid of it. No more Chrysler products for me.

What do the plugs look like ? It has to be going somewhere . Intake Gaskets ? Blue exhaust ? Rev the engine and see what comes out .

If it is not one or the other, it is a third one: If you don't see (Catalytic Converters can hide condition) BLUE SMOKE coming out the tail pipe, then Engine is not burning oil but when acceleration after long idle or after cold startups indicate leaking valve seals. Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PVC) valve needs to be checked before replacing it. also before that, Have: Crankcase pressure tested with an Engine diagnostic advanced tool. and if it is not burning not leaking it could probably being passed or moved to Engine coolant through a blown Cylinder head Gasket. check the coolant as well. Thanks.
