I have spent over two thousand dollars repairing my 2012 Chevy Equinox.

I purchased my Chevy Equinox in 2012,  with only 152 miles.  I paid it off in 2016.  I have only  had 2017 to drive it without problems.  In 2018 I replaced the manifold, break system, and problems with the gas cap and engine light staying on.  Problem after problem continued with my car.  The Chevy retailer in Tulsa, Oklahoma, kept repairing each problem to the tune of more and more money.  It is 2019 and I am still spending cash to repair my car.  I should have read the complaints about the 2012 Chevy Equinox.  It was shabbily put together.  I was pleased with my car with all of my extras.  The car has become a nightmare.

Brakes are a wear item. The gas cap is inexpensive and not unusual for any car. How many miles on the car? So far you have not mentioned much to be concerned about. The manifold is the only thing that should not have gone bad. Two thousand dollars at dealer prices over 7 years is anything but a nightmare.
