Need to duplicate a new remote key for 2012 Camry SE. Any concerns using locksmith than dealership, much cheaper.

Any recommendations dealership asking $285 total. I talked to a locksmith and
said could do for $135. Should I have any concerns going this route?

I had a similar issue with my 2008 Scion. It did need a locksmith to program. I bought the keys online and a local locksmith did a great job of programming them for a lot less than the dealer wanted. And as Tom pointed out, there's a good chance you can get the programming instructions on line. Even if that doesn't work, you can still take the key to a locksmith, so there's no real downside to trying it yourself.
