Transmission issue

Asked by Cbstark Apr 29, 2017 at 02:12 PM about the 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT Crew Cab

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My truck won't shift above 2nd gear. I felt no signs at all
that it might have been slipping. It just happened randomly
whole driving the truck. Overdrive and reverse work just
fine. Do I need a full rebuild or is it just a cylinoid? Probably
didn't spell that correctly. Thank you in advance for the
help!

It's possible that it's just that but it could also be your tranny starting to go out.
