Car is cranking slowly

Car will crank slowly like it has too much resistance,
replaced the starter, replaced the battery, reman alternator.
Still no start... please help!

If you are sure the battery has a full charge then the problem may be with the engine. If the timing is way off it could make the engine hard to turn over.

Any suggestions on how to check that on a dohc 4 cylinder? Or what ot should be set at? What could cause that?

F_o_R - no codes as I cannot get the car to start KenF - no starter relay as the car uses a TIPM system, all cables and connections are good though. Going to check the timing and the timing belt tomorrow to see if it may have possibly jumped a tooth.
