High ideal

Asked by Stinger01 Jul 16, 2016 at 12:29 PM about the 2004 Dodge Dakota SLT Quad Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I changed the spark plugs in my 2004 dodge
dakota and now the ideal is high. When I first turn
it on it runs at around 11oo rpm and after a minute
it jumps up to 1500 rpm. Can anyone help? Thanks

4.7? Make sure the vacuum hose for the PCV and crankcase vent are still attached (they're at the back of the intake manifold). A common problem is they get bumped when changing plugs, and the hoses are crusty and develop a leak).
