Oil at 30 sometimes drops to 25 causing motor to
knock slightly until its in drive .could it be the oil
pump or rod bearings maybe both any sugestions
need help? also can rod bearings be changed
without pulling motor .

20-30 is fine in many cases. Oil pump inlet screen could just be clogged, too.
