Yes until the coolant started shooting out of the top where the radiator cap goes on

Ya, you let it finish? Let the coolant level go down then add more coolant, all when it is running?

Nah when I seen it shooting I put on cap it was a lot shooting and it was hot so I didn't know if it would damage anything so I put cap on

Ya so try it again, make sure the radiator is full over the cores, not to the top as it will just spit out. Have jug of coolant ready, cap off, run the car, heater set on high and warmest setting, you let it run until the thermostat opens up. Once that happens the coolant level will drop in the radiator, so then start filling the radiator. Now if it just continues to spit coolant out, then there is a blown head gasket. But to be sure that the thermostat had opened the radiator hose to the thermostat would be hot.
