Sorry, 2007 Ford taurus. I replaced the Alt and Batt. the voltage is 14.0 and 14.3 but it seems as soon as the temp gets to the middle (above 84) in the engineering mode i get the check charging warning. I have cleaned the connections, but i haven't checked the ground to make sure that is clean. I am just at a lost. Thank you for replying to such an old post.

Also I replaced both the Alt and Batt over 4 months ago and the light just now started coming back on. Also my AC does not work so i do not know if this is related to the check charging system or not. The vent is stuck on the defrost but i have youtube this and it might be something different.

while driving, the battery light comes on on my 2006 Ford Escape V6 4wd (~85,000 miles). I did the diagnostic test mentioned where you get the ODO to display the voltage. The voltage indicated while the battery light is on is 13.7 ~ 14.3; even with everything possible turned on such as lights, defrost, fan, AC, seat heaters, wipers, etc. Everything electrical appears to be functioning properly. Curiously, the light will appear when cruising on the highway and if I release the gas pedal (RPM's drop) the light turns off.
