Don't the dealers have to comply with what's in the advertisement?

Asked by GuruJ61XF Aug 10, 2020 at 11:51 AM about the 2012 Cadillac CTS Coupe 3.6L Premium AWD

Question type: General

I found the car I was looking for and wanted to make the deal and the dealer
said they don't deliver. I went through the process of getting pre- approved and
thought I was buying this vehicle only to find out there would be no delivery.
The price for delivery was even included with the pre approval paperwork.Don't
these dealers have to sign a contract with Cargurs to advertise?

You can read the Terms of Use link at the bottom of the page for all the legal stuff. But dealers can do whatever they want. Where was it listed that the price included delivery? Delivery is usually at the cost of the buyer and it can change depending on your location. The closer you are to the dealer the cheaper it is, it is not a set price.

I see nothing on the Dealer's website about delivery. You should also not buy a used vehicle sight unseen! The carfax is clean but it shows a repossession which could be trouble! Hope that helps! Jim
