What is the hose that need to be replaced called?

What hose is it the coolent or radiator hose

It’s a radiator hose, most likely the lower one, but if that one is in that bad of shape you better be checking all of the other radiator hoses and coolant hoses. You might need to replace them all.

Looks like the lower radiator hose. Some places may call it a "coolant hose" which is vague and could be used for any of the hoses in the cooling system because coolant flows through them all. Given the age of the vehicle I'd replace both the upper and lower radiator hoses plus the hose clamps (they appear to be original too) and inspect the heater hoses. If they're bulging, cracked, or overly stiff with the engine cold they should be replaced as well. Hope that helps! Jim
