Changed stock tires RPM seems off now

Asked by GuruVRQVB Sep 08, 2018 at 07:52 PM about the 2012 Cadillac CTS 3.0L Luxury AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The shop went through transmission tore it
apart looking for problem. Factory reset the
car. Then told me that the tires are causing
the problem. So I put the tires back on, skinny
dinkey crap. And it ran perfect. I put my new
larger tires on and the car jerks hard at a
lower speed and rpm
So we tried to program the car again and we
can't seem to get the system to put rpms
manually correct.
Tires are making it jerk back or jerk at rpm
after took off the stock tires came off.

Did you mix tires sizes on an AWD car? If so that is good way to ruin your transfer case.

Do you have different size tires front and back? What you are describing sounds like the symptoms of wrong tire sizes causing the front and back axles to turn at different rates.
