a large buildup of iron deposits from nine years of use without ever a flush. proper flush should include an agent to dissolve rust like CLR . calcium,,,lime ,,,rust then rinse. you'll add life to heater, and rad, and hoses. well worth the little time ,drain coolant save if fresh, fill with water and agent, run for 20 minutes or so, drain, fill with water, run 5 minutes, drain, refill with specified antifreeze and if your a perfectionist like myself , distilled water, and a pump lube additive
