2004 outback Door chime doesn’t stop after key out of ignition

I have a 2004 Subaru Outback the key in ignition
chime still sounds after the key is out of the ignition.  
I just bought the car so I’m curious is this normal or
is there an issue with the ignition. Any help would
be appreciated.
I also have 03 wrx it does not chime once I remove
the key from ignition is only reason why I raising the
question.

Thank you everyone I figured it out. The ignition needs replaced. It would even let lock it with the fob. Unless you rotate it all the way back to stop and and jiggle the key out. Opened the column cover and it looks like some tried to steal the car at one point
