Left Stop Lights Not Working

Asked by Kahuna3065 Sep 22, 2011 at 11:57 AM about the 2002 Chrysler 300M Special FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Anyone know if brake light switch mis-adjustment at brake pedal can make left brake
lights inoperable while right stop lights work fine? What about the switch itself?
Bulbs seem fine as both sides (tail lights only) light up when remote fob is activated.

If the switch was bad, then all brake lights would be out. Remove the left rear tailight housing, look for the small circuit board at the plug. It's probably bad.

No circuit bd found but just sprayed a bit of wd-40 on both ends of plug, re-connected and back working. Must have been built up corrosion. Thanks for reply.
