if it is a older car and you need to have it running, and not a lot of cash, in my shop one time I had a women come in and she was broke, I told her I would do what I could I cleaned everything and got some JB Weld, coated the gasket and both piece's of the metal and bolted it together and let it set for 2 days filled it with fluid, started it got it good and warm, pressure tested it held, not only it held it keep holding for 2 more years tell she got done with school and got a new car, I do not say this is the best way, it is just one way to get you going make sure everything is very clean hope this helps
