BMW 323ci 2000 (Gear light came on with exclamation point How do I fix it

Light on on my dash board it looks like a
gear with a exclamation point in the middle
of it What do I need to do?

That light indicates a transmission fault. Usually, this is accompanied by the car going into limp mode and not shifting properly. One common cause that can set this is low battery voltage though. I'd have your battery load tested to see if it is going bad. Modern cars are sensitive to low voltages.

Once that happen, after changing the battery. Doea it needs to be reprogram?
